Julie is our Operations Manager at Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants, overseeing the clinical and administrative staff in all of four of our offices, as well as our centralized scheduling department. Originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan, she grew up in her father’s successful oral surgery practice located in Dearborn. Julie assisted in her first major surgical procedure at 13 years of age. Minus the time spent in college, she has worked in the field of oral surgery and dentistry since that early age.
Julie moved to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1993 and spent eight years working for a nation-wide dental group during their major growth phase. During her time with them, they grew from three locations to over 300. She has spent time in upper echelon private practices that specialized in full mouth reconstruction and also spent eight years working in a group practice alongside specialists and general dentists, including oral surgeon Dr. Renato Aves (founder of Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants), orthodontists, and periodontists. Her experience is very broad, and she is familiar with all aspects of our profession.
Julie is passionate about oral surgery and firmly believes every patient deserves to make informed decisions. You will often find her reviewing complex cases with patients to make sure they understand their present oral condition, what their goals are, and all the options available to achieve those goals.
Julie’s dog wins at dog showDuring her free time, Julie enjoys traveling the world with her loving husband, Tom. They often spend time with family in Illinois, Ohio and South Carolina. Julie’s true passion is found in many venues within the sport of purebred dogs; specifically the health and preservation of the Golden Retriever. She is an avid student of the pedigrees, health and genetics relating to the breed, and is working towards obtaining her license to judge the Golden Retriever at AKC dog shows. Occasionally, Tom and Julie breed Golden Retrievers under the “Questan” prefix, and several have been shown to top honors at AKC dog shows, including the coveted “Best in Show.” Currently they share their home with their 3 loving companions, Ditto, Dharma and Fresco.
Ania is the Surgical Manager here at Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants and oversees all clinical operations. She truly enjoys helping our patients on their path to a healthy and beautiful smile. Ania is driven to keep a high standard of care, and she loves seeing the compassion and respect that her team gives to each and every patient. You will always see Ania working hard to make sure all our patients are comfortable and at ease throughout their treatment.
Ania immigrated from Poland to Chicago 20 years ago and immediately became interested in the dental field. She started her career in Pediatric Dentistry and was soon recruited to an Oral Surgery practice. Seeking warmer winters, Ania and her family moved to the Tampa Bay Area. She was fortunate enough to pick-up her carrer with Dr. Aves as they started and expanded his practice.
During her free time, Ania enjoys exploring Florida with her husband and two amazing daughters. She also enjoys yoga, sudoku, and watching romantic comedies.
