Dr. Aves received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1994. Following dental school, he completed a general practice residency at the Colmery O’Neil VA Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, before earning his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he served as Chief Resident in 1999. Dr. Aves also served as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve for more than ten years. He has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1999 and founded the Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants in 2010.
